IISRP announces president-international for 2025-26
Douglas Wilson of LYC Elastomers replaces Zhuang Yi of Sinopec as leader of global synthetic rubber producers body
Houston, Texas – The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) has elected Douglas Wilson (pictured) as its president-international for 2025-26, succeeding Zhuang Yi of Sinopec.
Wilson is general manager of the Americas business for LCY Elastomers, responsible for its styrenic block copolymer business in North and South America, said IISRP's 22 April release.
Prior to joining LCY in 2023, Wilson was a global business director at Vertellus (now Aurorium) for five years, after a 22-year career with Honeywell International.
At Honeywell, he was global business leader for the ‘nylon-based film and active resins business’ as well as the group's ‘research chemicals business’.
In addition to Wilson, other members elected to the IISRP executive committee for the year include:
- Masayoshi Iwasa of Asahi Kasei Corp., president of the Asia Pacific section and member of the FPAC,
- Giovanni Cassuti of Versalis, EMEA section vice-president,
- Brian Chapman of Kuraray Americas, member of the FPAC,
- Shiga Satoru of ENEOS Materials, vice-president of the Asia Pacific section,
- Robert Rikhoff of Lion Elastomers, president of the Americas section,
- Zhuang Yi of Sinopec, former president-international,
- Roxanna Petrovic of IISRP, managing director, assistant treasurer, and recording secretary.
The IISRP is an international not-for-profit trade association with corporate members across 20 countries, producing more than 70% of the world's supply of synthetic rubber.
